  • Emergency phone calls are received by Miami- Dade Police Department and transferred to our agency via the police radio. Residents can reach our agency with non-emergency phone calls by dialing 305-474-MGPD (6473).

  • Dispatchers ask for pertinent information first - address, phone number, nature of call, name of caller and/or a description of those involved. Once the initial information is obtained, additional questions may be asked depending on the nature of the call. The questioning will not slow down the dispatching of the appropriate assistance.

  • Answer non-emergency calls for service, dispatch patrol units using radio equipment, enter/remove Missing Persons, Articles, Vehicles, etc., forward calls to the appropriate department

  • The unit handles approximately 130,000 calls annually.
