Deputy City Manager, Craig Clay, assists the City Manager with the day-to-day operations of the City. He is responsible for the strategic oversight and direction of the Community Development, Finance, and Human Resources Departments.
Assistant City Manager, Vernita Nelson, assists the City Manager in the areas of policy decisions related to Legislative and Intergovernmental affairs. She oversees the Special Events Division and the Information Technology Department.
Assistant City Manager, Paulette Murphy, assists the City Manager in the general operation of the City, focusing on Capital Projects, Parks and Recreation, and the Public Works Departments.
Assistant City Manager, Tamara Wadley Packer, assists the City Manager with the development and implementation of the City’s Strategic Plan. She has primary responsibility for Communications, the Office of Civic Engagement and Emergency Management.
