1. Where Can I obtain a police and/or accident report?

You can obtain reports in person from the Miami Gardens Police Department Records Unit located at 18611 NW 27 Avenue, Miami Gardens, FL 33056.

2. How much are the reports?

Incidents reports are $1.00 per certified page Accidents reports are $1.00 per certified page Non-Certified Reports $0.15 per page and $0.20 for two-sided page.

3. How long does it take to obtain a police report?

Accident/Incident reports are available 7 to 10 business days after the date of occurrence to persons involved.

4. What form of payment is accepted?

Types of payment accepted are debt card, credit card, money order, cash or check.

5. What are the hours of operation?

The public can obtain reports from the Records Unit Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Unit is closed to the public on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays.

6. What other services does the Records Unit offer?

The Unit accepts red light camera payments, alarm registrations, conducts fingerprinting for residents and conducts local background checks that includes information on file with Miami Gardens Police Department.

7. What is the cost for services provided by the Records Unit?

Fingerprinting for city residents - $5.00 and by appointment only. Local Background Checks - $5.00 Alarm Registration - $37.00.
