Captain Alonzo Moncur II is a lifelong resident of the City of Miami Gardens, and a proud graduate of Miami Carol City High School and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Union Institute & University, a Master’s of Science in Strategic Leadership from Mountain State University and a Master’s of Science in Criminal Justice from Walden University. Captain Moncur has dedicated over 21 years of service to the law enforcement community in various capacities. Captain Moncur has been employed with the City of Miami Gardens Police Department for over 10 years and during that time, he has been assigned as a General Investigations Unit Detective, Property Crimes Unit Detective, Special Victims Unit Detective, Field Training Officer, Community Enrichment Team Sergeant, Street Crimes Unit Sergeant, Real Time Crime Center Captain and he currently serves as the Criminal Investigations Captain.
