 during 53rd annual National Conference in Orlando –

 

Stamford, Conn. – December 12, 2006 – Keep America Beautiful, Inc. President G. Raymond Empson presented the Rogers Award for outstanding television and radio public service announcements at the recent Keep America Beautiful National Awards ceremony, which took place during its 53rd annual National Conference in Orlando, Fla.

The Rogers Awards recognizes Keep America Beautiful affiliates and their partners for outstanding public service announcements that advance the local and national goals of Keep America Beautiful. Keep Tennessee Beautiful won two of the three first-place awards, which were presented in local television advertising, statewide television advertising, and state and local radio advertising.

“Keep America Beautiful affiliates continue to develop state and local PSAs that forward our mission with great impact,” said Empson. “We applaud our affiliates for creating these awareness-building campaigns, which inform citizens about their responsibility to keep their communities clean and beautiful.”

First-place Rogers Award winners are:

  • Local Television Advertising – Keep Glendale Beautiful, Glendale, CA
  • Statewide Television Advertising – Keep Tennessee Beautiful, Memphis, TN
  • State and Local Radio Advertising – Keep Tennessee Beautiful, Memphis, TN

Second-place Rogers Award winners are:

  • Local Television Advertising – Keep Covington/Newton Beautiful, Covington, GA
  • Statewide Television Advertising – Keep South Carolina Beautiful, Columbia, SC
  • State and Local Radio Advertising – Keep Miami Gardens Beautiful, Miami Gardens, FL
