Zoning/Development
The Planning and Zoning Department administers the City’s development review process which includes zoning, site plan review, subdivision platting and related processes. In addition to the processes and applications noted below, the Department reviews Certificates of Use to insure compliance with the Zoning Code prior to issuance of a Business Tax Receipt (occupational license). We also review Building Permits for compliance with area, dimensional and related zoning requirements of the Zoning Code. We do not issue building permits. The City’s Building and Code Compliance Department issues building permits.
DEVELOPMENT REVIEW
The City’s Development Review Committee and the City’s DRC Process provide procedures for plan review by Planning and Zoning, Public Works and Engineering, Flood Plain Protection, Building, Recreation and Parks, and Police.
