Comprehensive Development Master Plan (CDMP)
What is the CDMP
CDMP refers to the City’s Comprehensive Development Master Plan….what we want the City of Miami Gardens to be 10 or 20 years from now. This question and many more will be considered as the City develops a Vision for the CDMP. The Vision will provide a direction for various elements of planning, such as future uses of land, improved roadways, housing needs, new parks and greenspace.
As part of a visioning process a group of over thirty persons (including the Mayor, Council-members, and representatives of neighborhoods, businesses, non-profit organizations) completed a questionnaire. This provided a baseline sampling of opinions and preferences relating to issues of: quality of life, development issues, transportation, city appearance, street repair, parks and many more issues. The responses were compiled into a preliminary Vision Statement for the City of Miami Gardens.
On March 16, 2005, the City held the first of a series of CDMP-related community meetings to present the preliminary Vision Statement. Other meetings will be conducted over the next several months. Tentative meeting schedule:
- March 16, 2005
- May 4, 2005
- May 18, 2005
- June 18, 2005
