Buckle Up Miami Gardens - Child Passenger Safety Seat Program
The Miami Gardens Police Department is joining with the Miami-Dade County Child and Youth Safety Initiative Community Partnership to promote child passenger safety. A key component of this initiative will be free child safety seat inspections to ensure all children are properly protected. Child safety seat inspections are done by appointment only.

Walk Safe - Pedestrian Safety Program
“Walk Safe” - is an elementary school based pedestrian injury prevention program that has been developed and implemented to reduce pediatric pedestrian trauma by educating elementary school children, teachers, parents.

Miami Gardens C.T.S.T. - Community Traffic Safety Team
The goal of the Miami Gardens Community Traffic Safety Team (CTST) is to decrease vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle injuries and fatalities to residents of Miami Gardens through traffic safety prevention efforts.
The CTST program will be a collaborative effort involving enforcement, education, and engineering. CTST will use existing National and State educational and enforcement campaigns, as well as team developed campaigns to implement this program. Local traffic safety issues will be addressed by City of Miami Gardens Public Works, School Crossing Guard Division, Miami Gardens Police Department, Miami–Dade County Public Works, and Florida Department of Transportation.
