Business Incentive Program (BIP) Now Accepting Applications!

The Department of Community Development is now accepting applications from business owners in Miami Gardens for the Business Incentive Program (BIP). This program will provide business owners with assistance for projects such as façade improvements, space build-out, permits and fees, acquisition and more. Public Service Programs

Technical Assistance (for Public Service Providers)

Each year during the spring, the Department of Community Development hosts a workshop in preparation to receive Request for Proposals (RFP) from non-profit community based organizations seeking Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the City.  The purpose of the workshop is provide information on the CDBG program requirements and eligible activities that can be funded.  At this workshop, participants also have an opportunity to ask questions regarding the RFP.


Below is a partial list of eligible activities that can be funded:  

- Services for seniors
- Services for youth
- Services for homeless individuals and/or families
- Recreational programs
- Public safety programs
- Job training and job creation

Elderly Meals Program

The Department of Community Development has contracted with Sunshine For All, Inc. to provide meals to eligible senior citizens in Miami Gardens.  This program delivers meals to participants five days a week.  For more information on the Elderly Meals Program, Click Here 

After School Tutoring Program

The JPM Centre at Miami Gardens Drive, Inc. has been funded to provide after school tutoring services free of charge for eligible students in the City of Miami Gardens.  This service is provided from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday through Friday.  For more information on this program please call JPM Centre at 305-625-2978.
