Sharon P. RagoonanDirector of Building and Code Compliance
Sharon P. Ragoonan serves as the Department Director of Building and Code Compliance. Ms. Ragoonan plans, directs, supervises the activities and operations of the department and is responsible for the overall fiscal management and efficient delivery of services. She has over 14 years of public service experience in code enforcement, organizational management, training and development, and community outreach. She was responsible for the establishment of a benchmark mentoring program for youth and for launching a national financial literacy campaign for high school graduates.
Ms. Ragoonan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Florida International University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Florida Atlantic University. She was recognized by the Governor’s Mentoring Initiative and was a recent participant in the prestigious National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA) mentor program.
