Assistant City Manager
This position has line responsibilities over the activities in the Public Safety, School Crossing Guard Program, Parks & Recreation Departments and the City's future Housing Program. The incumbent serves as the liaison for inter-local agreements with Miami-Dade County, the School Board and other municipalities, including administration of the City’s allocation of Community Development Grant opportunities.

Bio of Renee Farmer, Assistant City Manager
Ms. Farmer most recently worked as a Legislative Coordinator for Broward County’s Office of Public & Governmental Relations for two years prior to joining the City of Miami Gardens. Her prior professional experience includes: Economic Development Officer for the City of Lauderdale Lakes; Assistant to the City Manager for the City of Hallandale Beach; Planner and Special Projects Coordinator for Broward County.

She holds a Masters degree in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University and a B.S. in Political Science from Florida State University.
